I would say that, you know, it's Ah, I didn't take a straight path, right? I don't think that anybody in executive recruiting, you know, as a kid says, I think I'm gonna be an executive recruiter when I grow up. You know, You, uh you know, so my background, my education is in psychology of my master's degrees in psychology. And while I was in school, I was selling real estate. Um, it was during the height of the market. It was awesome. I was doing really well with it s Oh, I you know, I recognized that I had a sales was the strength of mine while I still loved helping people. So I finished my master's program in 2010 and had this combination of education and experience that made no sense really on. I wasn't really sure what I was going to do with it, so I did some soul searching, talks the mentors and decided, Okay, I didn't want to stay in real estate. I knew that. But I loved helping people, and I love selling. And after some reflection, I realized that executive recruiting would actually allow me to do both of those I could sell on the client side and I could help candidates on that side, so that would, I would say, that would be, you know, my story in a nutshell.
Absolutely. So we as an executive search firm, we all have an applicant tracking system so that, you know, which is obviously, you know, um, confidential, uh, to our firm. But the tools that I would say that I use the most it would really be linked. In a way, I spend a lot of time on LinkedIn whether it be on the business development side or on the recruiting side. And the reason is truly because the relationships so that will help me develop new relationships. And then I will track those through my applicant tracking system and ensure that I'm, you know, continuing to build my book of business so definitely linked in
so our firm is focused within the finance and accounting space, so we do work on positions outside of that. But I would say that's about 90% of what we dio. Our clients are primarily in D. C. Maryland in Northern Virginia. We do work outside of that area on occasion, but that's really primarily. And then, in addition to that, the types of positions, um that we would work on are typically, uh, manager level and above. Our clients are gonna be across the board, though in terms of industry and size of company. It's just that finance and accounting vertical that we pretty much say, and you have to specialize in our business.we do? We do work with work on some sea level positions. Absolutely. I would say that you know, it's faras the actual requirements of the position. It really will depend. So finance and accounting is very broad, so you can work on a finance position where they're looking for somebody who does corporate F p A in the software space. Or they might work in another industry in the healthcare space. With accounting, you might be looking at a controller or you might be looking at a senior accounting manager. Um, you know, so it just it ranges. And then there's audit and tax, which also falls underneath of our same umbrella. So it's It's really anything in this. If you imagine the CFO pyramid, everything that kind of falls under the CFO.
