So first of all, let me start by saying I have to thank Professor a little water to are giving this opportunity to share my story. So my stories doctored back when I was in my bachelors and I didn't know actually, the way it's Doctor, because I did my bachelors in electronics and communication. And right now I'm in software, so it's a different, but, you know, But, uh uh So when I was in my bachelors in trunks and communication, I was always interested in in gaming and I saw a video games and the way how the their programs work. So when I was, whenever I was playing games, I used to see on a look at how they're court works and all. And even in my bachelors, I was always good at programming. So microcontrollers and see PP I was always most of the time talking the class. But electronic was not meeting and they know mode back then and then, uh and it was in 2009. I graduated from my bachelors. Uh, I took up a job in D. C s as a backend engineer. A sequel later, this little bit sky because I didn't have much choice back then about I was not really interested in Job are other other friends and pieces off it. But I I was interested in the software, uh, the underlying principles off software. And ah, Like I said, I started at a sequel open. I've Bean with a TCS for like, four years. Then I felt my career is stagnating. And then I took a bold move. You can say I had, uh, could the job without having anything in my hand and then Ah, I haven't really for maybe a month or two couple months. I got a lot more opportunities because I had learned a lot and I took up a job in a new way in Dubai to work for the bite garment. Ah, it was a new place. I didn't know anyone there. Ah, I knew no one. Not even a single person from the company except for except the people let interviewed me. And that was the first time meeting them, I thought. Okay, this is a new piece. Ah, new thing, New challenge. Let's see. Uh, I I go. So I was always being someone who is willing to take risks and learn as long as I see. Okay, that's something that's going to help me in the long term. So I did not, uh, voted the new country and it was a new experience working for the government. Ah, there. Ah, the culture over there is completely different from what you see in India are anywhere I've worked. So in India world with our to plant one is a domestic client. On the other one is a European plane. But in Middle East, when you're working there, the culture is a lot more relaxed. A lot more laid back. Um, you are paid a good amount of money. So that is not ah, not a lot to complain about, but ah, I always First there's something that's missing. So I said OK, after working there for two years, I did Okay, maybe. Ah, in the shark. Tomic, It looks good. Bye. Probably that's not the way I want to be in the long room. And I wanted to do masters. That's when I decided. Okay, I have to arm make a cutter shift. Uh, learn a lot more. So I've looked up a different universities and then I had a friend, uh, who did his masters at your few and I reached out to him. He said the court says Good. The Messias program that I told them. He says that a square you'd have a lot more opportunities here and there's a lot to learn, huh? And I said, OK, maybe this is the time to take the step. So and I did enroll for molasses program. It was great learning because it was the new expert. Completely new experience, you know? So Ah, the most important thing that I learned here at the university Waas Uh, I got a lot more explosions being Ah, uh, in the place that is happening to us has locked off innovation that happens, like so being there, you know? Okay, What you're missing out on what they plan and where you can go ahead are the great part. Give me a lot more opportunities being in the center of things on after masters, I you pick up a job as a date and unit in a small startup. That's a pretty fun company. Can say so with probably 50 employees. So then you're working in a startup. You'll have had to put on a lot more hats. So and like I said, my goal has always been do quite as much knowledge as possible and as fast as possible. So I took a job and start up, and I did not look for any big amenities. This is the learning car. I was purely focused on the landing current the nation states and that had me get toe. Uh, you can see I was ever
right now, I look as a data engineer on an analytics platform, Um, on analytics, platform game, network, friends. So about frontiers of willing Ah, work. Madeleine's after basically. So And we are responsible for one particular feature. So we have the back and team for for the future called an enhanced analytics. So as a data engineer, our primary responsibility is centered around data. So everything data and what is a company that does not before? Um, probably for 34 years back. It was not a data centric thing at all. So but the company embrace the data. Uh, data driven Johnny. And, uh, he said, OK, we have to start this job, start its role. And so in my role, Ah, lot off thing is about quality of the data and making sure we built less capable and drove a spy planes to help the product. So we were quit a lot off product managers when the defendants and the job typically is from 9 to 5 and we have ah, on congregation on on a weekly basis. So the team are five shares about so we get once every five weeks for six weeks. Something like that.
that as a data engineer at work front, we use a locked off big data center technologies. So distributed computing is at the core of it and sequel. Obviously we'll be writer, turnoffs equals and, um, we used fight on for scripting and, ah, little bit off Scala. But the main thing is other views a lot off other pre Buxley arses sass, sass application. So everything is in floor. So we use a lot of years jcp and do all the other screaming. But the center off sent off. It is understanding how the distributed computing will show now you're not sticking to anybody belittles. The company is very flexible, so even work with pension, anything that works.
