Thank you for having me. So, I'm actually born and raised in Taiwan and I came to United States for my graduate studies. So, I got my masters and PhD from Wharton School of Business University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. After I graduated, my first academic job was from Tepper School of Business Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After a few years, I joined Temple University again back in Philadelphia. So, I have been in Pennsylvania for quite a long time and then about four and a half years ago, I joined ASU. So, in terms of things that I enjoy, I love traveling and I love trying different variety of food and also I love spending time with family and friends. And I love movies too.
Sure. I'm probably more in the position to discuss graduate programs since I'm mainly involved in teaching graduate programs. So, I usually teach IT strategy as well as data analytics courses in the graduate program and students, the job they often get are like consultants and also a majority of them pursue what is now the data scientist or data analyst in a company to support strategy.
Sure. Great Question. So, since I joined ASU back in 2013, I really witnessed a lot of changes here in the university as well as program level. So, what I'm really impressed is that here we really take each program very seriously. We review students feedback and then revise our curriculum and program annually. So, for example, since we start our MSBA program, we have been like almost changing the curriculum every year to make sure that we offer all the state-of-the-art knowledge as well as cover all the emerging technologies and lay good foundations for students. So, that's why, because I witnessed all this, I really encourage students to come to our program because we make sure that we have great faculty, great content and great training for students. So, in terms of clearing misconceptions, I heard maybe I don't know how long ago but probably a decade ago ASU was known to be a party school. Well, we still encourage students to work hard and play hard but I think the misconception of like people come here to party really is no longer true.
