you're for me. When I was back in high school, I knew that I really had a strong passion for sports and the business world. And so I found that the University of Michigan had a sport management program, and it was just the perfect fit for May and, um, did a number of internships when I was in college with the second of spirit that they're a hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League with Palace Sports and Entertainment. They were the, ah, the group that owned the Detroit Pistons Detroit shock, some different concert venues on. And then from there, I didn't turn for an agency called Momentum Worldwide and helped oversee the PGA Tour. Is that Buick Open? And then my last internship was with the University of Michigan Athletic Department. And so through all of that, um, I, uh, really developed a passion for marketing. I really knew that was what I wanted to do. And, um, you know, post college, my full time experiences. Ah, my first role was doing sponsorships with with I am G on more specifically within their collegiate Division I M G College and the University of Michigan property, which is a kid that I always wanted to go to Michigan and was fortunate to do that. I was a dream come true, being able to work in that type of a capacity and just have the overall experience come full circle From there. I worked Aziz, the Ah, and I was a part of a partnership marketing manager there. My next role. I was the director of marketing for a sports and entertainment marketing and management firm called Sports Management Network. And then, most recently, I've held a couple different jobs. But at T Mobile, But I transitioned over to be a brand side, and I am a senior regional marketing manager.
So I oversee a team where we are, Ah, one of the teams that's responsible for marketing and all or portions of 23 states across United States. So we've got a pretty big territory. Um and, uh, it's interesting. We have so many people based throughout our region that there's not really a much traveling Aziz you would expect for me. Um, I would say that I'm probably traveling just a few times each quarter. That's obviously been a little bit different lately because of Coben, but it really isn't, um ah, too heavy, which surprises a lot of people. And understandably so, because of the nature of the type of job that I have on a Zara's, The hours are concerned, it really varies. I don't I wouldn't really say that we have a slow time of the year, so I'm pretty consistently working 40 hours a week. But there are times where there's just a lot going on at once, and it could be double that where I'm working 80 hours or sometimes even a bit mawr. It just all depends on what's going on at that particular point in time. And as far as working from home is concerned. It's been an easy transition for May, working from home now, Um, just because I in my role, I don't really need to go into the office every day. And so it's something that I was already admitted to a little bit. It just it's different not being able to see people in person like I'm accustomed to.
eso You may have heard that Ah, little over 2.5 years ago, we announced that we were going to be buying Sprint and ah, and so just because of needing to go through the proper protocols with getting government approval on FCC approval, it took. It took a while. And so one of the challenges that we face from a marketing standpoint was trying to communicate with our customers what they could expect trying to communicate with Sprint customers what they could expect there, and and really trying to make sure that people throughout the company Ah, and especially those at the store level, because they're the ones that are interacting with our customers more than anybody else. We're educated on what kind of, ah messaging we want tohave out there. And so just knowing how long that process went on for, it went longer than any of us expected. That was a pretty consistent challenge, and, uh and so I think that's part of it. And throughout that process we had some of our competitors and arising and A t and T trying to take advantage of that uncertainty. And so we also had to try to combat that as well. So those are some, You know, when I think of challenges off the top of my head, those were really the ones that I think have been pretty consistent for us.
