Um, yes. So I started my career in aerospace defense manufacturing, um, and went from there to actually working in a non profit. Um, and the reason for that really was I kind of was a thinking about what my values were. And I wanted something that really aligned Mawr to what was important to me and from working in the nonprofit. Then I got really involved in HR. And that's how I went to back into a airspace defense manufacturing company. Um, but I'm hr side of things, and now I work as a recruiter, okay?
what the responsibilities are, Um, kind of twofold. I work for a recruitment company, so I have candidates that I am trying to place with my clients. I'm also having to do business development and client relations with companies that are needing meeting talent. Um, and I are doing hiring. So my weekly work, um, is around 40 plus hours kind of depends on the week, but one thing in recruiting in particular is that you have to talk to people when they aren't typically at work. I can't call someone at their desk at their job at 9 30 on a Tuesday and expect them to be able to go to a full on interview with me. Um, so I do have some hours that are a little bit more nontraditional, So I typically for myself reserve one or two nights a week, as well as sometimes Saturday mornings, to be able to talk with people in terms of travel. It is primarily for conferences, meetings, um, some things more regionally, Um, and we use a lot of, um, like communication tools like Zoom and Skype and Microsoft teams and things like that to be able to see people but we're not physically there in terms of working from home. It does allow a bit of flexibility. I'm typically in the office 3 to 4 days a week and that I spend one someday, maybe working from home and one day out, meeting with clients or going toe other meetings. So it's a definitely a blend of all those.
so I think typical of what you see in most businesses we use Microsoft Office Suite. I'm using those a lot in terms of word Excel, power point from doing presentations and then, of course, outlook for email. In terms of things that are specific to my role, we use a lot of, um, like recruiting platforms. So things that you might be familiar with, like Zip recruiter Or indeed or things of that nature. Um, CareerBuilder. We have kind of the back end of it as well as Lincoln. Um, personally, I Lincoln is my favorite. I think I find the highest caliber of candidates most of people are on there. I think it gives you a really good snapshot of people. Um, when I'm reaching out to them and then we do also have some kind of systems of record that we use internally to house our data and be able to do some tracking of different key performance indicators across the team.
