This is my third career, which I think is negative of a lot of people these days. Um, I was an English major in college, and when I got out of college, I got married right away, and then I decided to be a court reporter. So it was a freelance court reporter, and then my husband and I opened a business together after a few years, and I own the retail business for almost 10 years. And when the economy had to turn down and we decided to do something else, I looked for another opportunity and actually kind of stumbled into recruiting, and I've been doing this five years.

I would say it varies because you kind of stick with it until you feel that you're accomplishing something for the day. So ordinarily, um, my day is a least 10 hours, and that's because that's my work ethic. That's how I like to put in the time. And I really love what I do doesn't really bother me that I'm putting in a longer day. I think these days everybody puts in this kind of time on whatever they're doing, especially if they feel passionate about it.priorities are finding the right talent for the role you're trying to fill, assessing these people to sing it. Is it a good match both in terms of the skill sets and the cultural fit the client is looking for and creating an assessment and communicating to the client so that they understand? Why are you presenting these individuals? And one of the things that you're trying to do when you're doing this is and this is in a commitment of minds and that started in the business to show diversity because as a woman of a certain age, I'm a firm believer in especially since we do executive search, making sure that the birth candidates have an opportunity to
The biggest challenge is finding right person or slate of candidates to present for particular role because what a client has in mind, they may have communicated on paper. But that's one dimensional. Three dimensional is bringing that to light, but somebody to say That's the person I essentially wanna live with because you're helping them add another member to their work family. So the challenge is twofold. Finding the person and then convincing the person that the night wanna be interested in taking a look at the world because most of the people were looking at presently employed and are happy where they are. So why make it change? Why should they uproot themselves to do this? So, um, you have to do a lot of research into why this person might potentially have a reason or an interest in making a change. So, example of this would be I moved somebody from Southern California to Sacramento for a wall, and he and his family young family they were expecting their first baby. We're happy, surrounded by most of their family in Southern California, but Sacramento was eminently more affordable, So one of the reasons he was open to making The change was to provide a different lifestyle for his family, and he was going through a role that was more senior, more responsibility and opportunity to grow. But it was also going to give him the kind of lifestyle where in an area where real estate is unbelievably expensive, to be able to give him an opportunity where it's more affordable. So this combination of what was the role But what would surround the lifestyle change? I don't.
