I had my undergrad at the University of Utah in Information Systems. I currently work in the supply chain of manufacturing for Swire Coca-Cola but kind of how I got here is I intern through the supply chain at Northrop Grumman, aerospace and defense manufacturing and that kind of pulled me into the manufacturing space. I never thought I would be, honestly, in the manufacturing or supply environment. I studied more IS in my undergrad and get my master's at Westminster College, also in Salt Lake and the MBA in Technology Management so I have that technology background in my schooling, but more supply chain technology side for the working experience. What shaped was my internship. So, I interned at Northrop Grumman and that really focused my career path into manufacturing and supply chain without that, my initial intention was to do more of an IT but during intern, I really enjoyed it.
I am the Plant Operations Manager for our products facility here in Salt Lake City. So I manage the production departments, the maintenance departments, and the warehouse department. So, I can have cognizance over all those different areas. So my job as a leader is to kind of integrate those departments and make sure that we're meeting our KPIs and all of our objectives in all those areas. Weekly hours, kind of old school here. I do come in about 10 hours a day in the office, travel is more collaboration thing with plants, it's limited. I don't do a lot of travel, which is nice. I have done a lot of the prior roles, it's kind of nice to be based here a little bit. But working from home, it's more of consultation and contacts, people reaching out. We do operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so I do have people here at all times. That's probably the biggest off-hours work that I do from home, but typically it's in the office Monday to Friday, and then, as things arise in the off-hours.
So our biggest tool is the ARP platform, it's an SAP system. So that packed everything from general ledger to inventories to analytics so that's what we lean on heavily here. We do have Microsoft Power BI for a lot of our analytics and reporting. We like those dashboards because they're real-time, they are very visual, they offer that drill-down capability. So I think as far as analytics what I've seen, Power BI has been really good for us and for all the nitty-gritty details processing is going to be all SAP.
