um so I have a PhD in biochemistry. I am was hired by Millipore way back when, um to help lead the development of products used in in vitro diagnostics. Um, I had a successful career in R and D. Um, one of my strongest skill sets is in fact related to communication. I speak a few different languages, but more importantly, I also understand languages other than R and D, for example, manufacturing, sales accounting so that that skill set enabled me to move from a position of internal RND business development, which, which is a lot about outsourcing or finding innovation outside of the corporation. So mergers and acquisitions are all about externally sourced innovation. So it was a logical move from internal are ready to external authority. So that was it will, of course, Sigma. Um, when I left Millipore Sigma, I went to work at Kai Jin more or less in the same role, Um, ends. That's how I got to where I am today.

uh, the working from home thing changes a lot. Of course, in the Asia Cove, it prior to coverted. The idea of working from home was something that you did on an exceptional basis, not on a usual basis. Usually one worked in the office or traveling to visit perspective partners or collaborators. So if I remember all of the aspects of the question, um, the typical work week involves translating strategy into, um, critical gaps in one's in Chi Jin's internal capabilities. Finding partners who might help fill those gaps, Um, and reaching out to those potential partners to see if there's interest in in some type of collaboration, whether that's just co marketing all the way up to ultimately potentially an acquisition. Eso there's a long process of cultivation relationship building. Um, and if one is fortunate negotiation of some sort of agreement between the parties

So, in this sort of roll, it's important to be able to develop a report that is more than just a personal report. Is a cultural report that takes patients, Um, and especially when one is dealing with with a management structure that could be far away from where you are working if you're in a satellite. That also requires making sure that the folks who are making the final decisions about payment also lines So some of the struggles have to do with with, um, aligning AH, priorities and and objectives, um, and dealing with almost certain setbacks that will occur along the way, either either within your own company wrote the partner company.
