I started, Um, you know, with an interest in physics was aiming to get a PhD in physics. Aziz rapidly as possible. Um, in the process, I started to branch out a little bit more and learned math. I got another degree in math and, uh, coding because I started to do some computational research. But the rial interesting turn was after. After getting my master's degree at Brown, I I decided, rather than completing the research to get the physics PhD to join the military, I've been in the army for seven years, and, um, eso coming after that getting back into a technical area was, you know, it was basically a career shift. Um, And in order to accomplish that, it was a little bit more difficult than I had anticipated. But I went to New York City Data Science Academy, which was a wonderful experience. And, um, you know, the job search took a while, but my my my interesting combination of background and skills was actually very Ah, very good package for my current job.

Well, um, I'm still pretty new in this position, but ah, ah, lot of it comes down to being able to contribute to machine learning projects and and that there's there's a lot that goes into it, um, coding skills are very important. Understanding machine learning models. And what, um what what could be necessary to solve problems there? That that's a big one on dime. I'm still learning that, um, and in general, being an innovator, being able Teoh, you know, join a project and you see where you might be able to contribute something and then putting in the work to do that.

so I learned R and Python in the Data science Academy. And you know, our is definitely used when it comes to machine learning. But for for deep learning applications, it seems that people will almost always air using python eso. So python is very big on Ben within python, the deep learning frameworks like tensorflow pytorch. Um, there. I mean, there are others tracks, Kathy, but pytorch is the I think that probably the simplest one toe learn and use and and that one definitely comes up a lot. So python and pytorch would be the main tools.
