About us

  Groton Wellness was founded by Dr. Bob Evans and his wife, Jean Nordin-Evans, as a dental practice which believes that a person’s teeth are integral to the health of the entire body.  This underlying principle is practiced in adult and pediatric dentistry as well as in the orthodontic department.  The vision grew to include medical treatments, a therapeutic spa and a wellness café that serves nutritious, whole-food dishes in which many of the ingredients are purchased from local farms.  Groton Wellness is the first holistic center of its kind in the United States with professionals in preventative and functional medicine and dental care.  It has had enormous success treating chronic health issues such as Lyme disease, hormonal imbalance and internal toxicity.

Implemented wide range of initiatives for this 114-year-old historic US manufacturer, with subsidiaries in Brazil and Canada, and oversaw merger and acquisition of three entities, including Asian manufacturing plant. Led qualification of ISO-9001 and implementation of Lean Manufacturing.


Merged ISMC into USM, consolidated companies, creating over $2M in cost savings. Negotiated acquisition of Hudson Machinery Corp., September 2002. Relocated company to Haverhill, MA.


Operated ISMC with full P&L responsibility. Performed due diligence and negotiated acquisition of United Shoe Machinery Corporation, ISMC’s largest worldwide competitor, February 2001.
