I highly recommend you give it a shot - there’s nothing like the roller coaster of running your own LLC business, trying out startups (which are mostly high-risk projects), and being scrappy.Owned and ran a software consultancy specializing in turning startup ideas into beautiful iPhone applications.  Our iPhone work with One Kings Lane became an Apple Staff Favorite and was featured by Mary Meeker of Kleiner Perkins as the future of catalog commerce.  Our Amazon cloud work created a self-healing machine learning system that ingested thousands of government documents a day, extracting social networks.  Customers include Dreamworks Animation, Paramount Studios, BestBuy, Axispoint, Recovery.org and more.

As founder and CEO of this wireless software company, I desired to enable a market for mobile Ajax widgets as the "next big thing" beyond ringtones and wallpaper.  I thought that mobile should move to gorgeous, single function apps that would be free or sold for a few dollars. Selected as the platform for a hip new phone for an MVNO known as AMPD.
