• Directed the development of two data models to support admissions and student funding data-driven decision making.• Designed and developed eight Tableau dashboards to visualize the two data models for UW faculty, staff, and administrators.• Collaborated with UW IT regarding dashboard user experience research, the dashboard designs, and metadata documentation.• Presented the data models and dashboards to the UW Student Data Council in April 2019, which advertised the newly published dashboards and demonstrated the dashboard value propositions to the UW data analyst community. • Led annual report SQL development activities for the National Science Foundation and the Council of Graduate Schools.• Improved the usability of two existing Tableau dashboard collections consisting of over 300 individual visualizations, which depicted the factors influencing why students accept or decline offers of admission to UW and graduate student experiences.• Contributed to the design, implementation, and data visualizations of a UW Ph.D. alumni survey administered using Qualtrics, which was completed by 223 participants and provided insights to immediate and long-term Ph.D. alumni employment trends.

• Conducted participatory design sessions with seven patients and eight clinicians to identify surgery patient information needs.• Designed and developed a functional patient-centered virtual assistant prototype informed by the needs assessment results.• Recruited five design experts to perform heuristic evaluations and identify virtual assistant prototype usability issues.• Improved the virtual assistant prototype’s design based on the design expert heuristic evaluation findings.• Engaged six patients in user testing sessions to identify additional usability issues and opportunities for prototype improvement.• Quantified the virtual assistant prototype’s query response accuracy, which demonstrated the prototype provides accurate information to within scope queries 93% of the time and the prototype can support surgery patient information-seeking. • Performed field visits at three clinics to inform the pilot implementation of a patient-centered mobile health application to track surgical site infections which was used by 70 patients for an average of 28 days, resulting in improved patient-clinician communication and successful identification of two patients with surgical site infection symptoms.
