About us

  The Harvard Crimson is the only breakfast-table daily newspaper in Cambridge, MA. The Crimson publishes every morning, Monday through Friday, except on federal and University holidays. In addition to the daily newspaper, The Crimson publishes an extended sports section on Mondays; Fifteen Minutes, the weekend magazine of The Crimson on Thursdays; and an arts section on Fridays. 

The Crimson is the nation's oldest continuously published daily college newspaper, and was founded in 1873 and incorporated in 1967. The newspaper traces its history to the first issue of "The Magenta," published January 24, 1873, and changed its name to "The Crimson" to reflect the new color of the college on May 21, 1875. The Crimson has a rich tradition of journalistic integrity and counts among its ranks of editorship some of America's greatest journalists. The faces of Pulitzer Prize-winning Crimson editors line the walls of The Crimson. Past editors include John F. Kennedy '40, Don Graham '65, Jeff Zucker '86, Jim Cramer '76, and Steve Ballmer '77. The name of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Class of 1904, is proudly engraved upon The Crimson's president's chair. One hundred and thirty-six years after its founding, having grown from a fortnightly newspaper to a daily, The Harvard Crimson continues to flourish with a strong body of undergraduate staff volunteers.

- Founded lobby day initiative that draws ~50 volunteers each semester who meet with state legislators- 5 lobby days have supported 20 bills (including 2 drafted by club, and 2 drafted by me) through 3,000+ emails, 250+ face-to-face meetings, hundreds of phone calls, dozens of letters of testimony, and endorsements from legislators, city councilors, national non-profits, Harvard professors, and a National Medal of Science honoree. 1 lobbied bill safeguarding preservation of “rape kits” was signed into law- Gave oral testimony 3 times to legislative committees in support of lobbied bills- Leads 70-person committee that organizes lobby day initiative, coordinates several debates each semester, writes political articles, hosts political leaders for panels and workshops, and campaigns for statewide ballot questions

About us

  The Senate is comprised of 40 members, with each Senator elected to represent a district consisting of approximately 159,000 people. As required by the Massachusetts Constitution, the Senate meets every 72 hours, year-round in either formal or informal session to consider legislation. The Massachusetts  Senate is led by the President of the Senate who is elected by the members of the body at the beginning of each two-year legislative session. The Massachusetts Legislature, known as the General Court, has been meeting since 1713.

About us

  The Enough Project is helping to build a permanent constituency to prevent genocide and crimes against humanity. We are raising awareness and taking action to address human rights crimes in Sudan, Congo, and areas of Africa impacted by the Lord's Resistance Army.

Genocide and war crimes are not inevitable, and we at Enough want to create noise and action both to stop ongoing atrocities and to prevent their recurrence. Our mission is to help people from every walk of life understand the practical actions they can take to make a difference. Our strategy is to energize diverse communities – including students, religious groups, activists, business leaders, celebrities, and Diaspora networks – to ensure that their voices are heard on some of the most pressing foreign policy and moral challenges facing the world today.

Enough was conceived in 2006 by a small group of concerned policymakers and activists who wanted to transform their frustration about inaction into pragmatic solutions and hope. Co-founded by Africa experts Gayle Smith and John Prendergast, Enough launched in early 2007 as a project of the Center for American Progress.

Researched illegal advertising targeting young girls on Instagram and SnapChat, helping to draft letter to Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requesting action. Letter was reported on by The Washington Post, ABC News, and Buzzfeed News, and led to FTC and Instagram crackdowns on illicit advertising
