I conceived of, and we architected the design language and services that would define a consistent global digital experience for Starbucks customers around the world. From Shanghai, I helped develop and execute the initial digital strategy for Starbucks China.  I established the new digital organization and introduced a culture of product management, UX/UI and modern software development.  I directly led loyalty, social, design, and engineering for the first phases of digital payment, digital loyalty, and other new digital initiatives.  The digital transformation resulted in one of China's most pervasive loyalty programs (Starbucks Rewards) with the mobile app being used by millions of people. Co-founded this curated, thoughtful marketplace for mobile designers.  The company was adopted and funded by YCombinator in 2012.


MadRaces was a GPS-based mobile game.  I conceived and designed the initial prototype. The business and prototype were sold to Betaworks (NYC) in October 2010.


Founder of the first marketplace for buying and selling original print design templates. Inkd raised a $1.7 million Series A round in September 2008 and sold to AlphaGraphics in 2012.


Acquired by CafePress in 2008, Imagekind was the original user-generated art and photo commerce community.  I developed the initial business plan and led all design and software development of the platform.  Imagekind allowed users to upload digital files and sell or create art products within a vibrant e-commerce community.  Imagekind was venture funded by Holtzbrinck Ventures, Crosslink Capital, European Founders Fund and several prominent angel investors.
