Featured in the App Store in February 2018.- Created the original product from start to finish, including UI, UX and app features.- Built firstly in Objective C, but then rewritten in Swift. Backend with MongoDB and Heroku running a Parse server.- Maintaining technical improvements for the performance and user experience using various languages and technologies such as Realm, Firebase and RxSwift.- Raised over $15,000 on Indiegogo in April 2017 in order to hire a designer and Android developer as well as expand the titles in the app.- Featured in numerous media outlets such as Forbes, Motherboard, Teen Vogue, Huffington Post and Bustle.

I've given several conference talks and spoken at smaller events on my experiences in the technology industry, creating my own app and mobile software practices. I'm currently focused on giving technical talks about software development, iOS, mobile accessibility and/or programming languages (i.e. Swift, Objective C).


I write pieces focused on the technology industry. My writing has been published by Smashing Magazine, TechCrunch, Model View Media. I have also written personal pieces on LinkedIn Pulse and Medium that have accumulated over 50,000 views. I maintain a technical blog at kayathomas.info/blog. We combine the latest design and technology practices to help non-profits, faculty, centers across campus and businesses communicate effectively. These teams work with partners to build technology tools that make complex ideas easy to understand, communicate data and research in meaningful ways, and use information systems to change behavior.  We use a mix of compelling visuals, clean interface and interaction design, and innovative technology to build tools to help solve a wide range of real-world communication challenges.
