Working with senior management, I produce an annual leadership event for Proctor & Gamble featuring innovators from around the world. It's a spin off from the Signal and Web 2 Summit events I produced for ten or so years prior. 


I use BattelleMedia as a catch all for various activities, including small investments, consulting, writing, and development of new projects. Currently it holds my angel investments, new business ideas, speaking and consulting, advisement (I'm on several advisory boards).

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) empowers the media and marketing industries to thrive in the digital economy. It is comprised of more than 650 leading media and technology companies that are responsible for selling, delivering, and optimizing digital advertising or marketing campaigns. Together, they account for 86 percent of online advertising in the United States. Working with its member companies, the IAB develops technical standards and best practices and fields critical research on interactive advertising, while also educating brands, agencies, and the wider business community on the importance of digital marketing. I was co-founder and Program Chair for this conference, which brought together the most interesting luminaries and entreprenuers in the Intenet space this October 5-7 in San Francisco. For more info, head to www.web2con.com. It's dormant now, but one never knows.


I was thrilled to work with the folks at Boing Boing (www.boingboing.net) in a "band manager" kind of role. It presaged my interest in the blog business generally, and things which may yet come in terms of projects/companies.


I ran the UC Berkeley Graduate School's business reporting curriculum in something of a part time role, which involved working with lecturers and staff to create classes for each year. I also taught in the new media and magazine programs, in particular I taught blogging as a publishing environment (a first of its kind at a major university) and how to develop new magazine titles.
