Senior Software Engineer at Intermountain Healthcare (Marketing & Communications)

Currently helping in a large project to unify Intermountain Healthcare's online experience, but will also be participating in multiple website projects under Intermountain. Working mostly with Angular personally, but exist within a very large department that spans a multitude of services and technologies, most notably: C# & Sitecore.


Intermountain Healthcare is a not-for-profit system of hospitals, surgery centers, doctors, and clinics that serves the medical needs of Utah and southeastern Idaho. Key medical services include cancer, heart, women and newborns, orthopedics, sports medicine, and more. Major cities served are Logan, Ogden, Salt Lake City, Provo, and St. George.

I was given full creative license to design frameworks and scripts as I saw fit, working alongside approximately 5 developers to get multiple projects tested.

I used Python, PHP (Vim & Netbeans), PL/SQL (Oracle), Selenium RC, and XPath to write test automation frameworks, utilities, and suites on Linux/Apache/CLI for testing web services and websites in the financial industry (prepaid cards). I mainly specialized in the development of the UI Automation Utilities in the Galileo Test Framework, but contributed on many different levels. All UI automation was done in VBScript (QTP). All database stored procedure testing was done in C# (VS2010) with TSQL (ADO.NET) in Unit Test projects.

Primarily responsible for manually testing the specific capabilities of software for production (mainly via the UI) to make sure it meets both the requirements of the customers and the specifications laid out by the Product Analysis Team. Responsible for writing and following through with Test Cases and various “Incident Reports” to both control the quality of the software products and to meet deadlines mandated by upper management. My high interest in programming drove me to start creating utilities to help in the testing effort and to automate my work. I gave trainings on script writing and was eventually promoted to QA Software Automation Engineer.

Used problem solving techniques and critical thinking skills to resolve potential conflicts for warehouse organizational structure. Personally wrote and proofread the first company work procedure for Cross-Dock Workers. Experience with a fork-lift. I was used for management, quality, and training purposes as a help and example to other warehouses for the project all over the State of Pennsylvania.
