Led business strategy & development for Revolar, a wearable tech startup funded by Foundry Group (Fitbit, Sphero, TrackR) and Techstars.Revolar makes discreet safety devices that send location-based distress signals via Bluetooth Low Energy and a connected smartphone app. I attended Techstars Boulder 2015 with Revolar as a member of the Founding Team. I owned the creation, iteration, & execution of core business strategies, including the initial company business plan and market research during incubation in 2013-2014.Over my two and a half years full time with the company, we took two products from crowdfunded ideas to nationwide retail, raised a Series Seed, scaled to a full-time team of 25, formed relationships with partners ranging from UC Berkeley to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, and sent out over 60,000 emergency alerts for our users.- Business development, sales cycle, contract negotiations, channel marketing, & account management for all partners (retailers, distributors, rep firms, B2B, strategic partners, tech integrations). During my year as a recruiter, I sourced, interviewed, and placed dozens of full-time hires with my clients, and I became head of tech recruiting at ETG. I worked mostly with software engineers, but I also hired designers, DevOps pros, marketers, financial analysts, program managers, and social media managers. I met tons of great people, and a few not-so-great ones.In addition to full cycle recruiting, I was also the main account manager for 15 clients ranging from seed-stage startups to Fortune 100 companies.
