UR TURN is a National Science Foundation and AT&T award-winning ed tech company; our software tool is an AI  supplement to school counseling, shining a light on an obscure education pathway.  Like Google Maps for the education highway, students can set an education destination, and UR TURN charts a path for success. Our mobile- and web-enabled tool allows students and their families to set goals, then guides them through research-based milestones that are correlated with success at the next level. Students and families benefit from the power of personalized predictive algorithms that demonstrate progress toward a goal as well as an early warning system that indicates when students are off track of meeting their intended outcome. UR TURN provides course corrections with research-backed program ideas and suggestions. School Districts benefit from an affordable SIS plug-in that helps more and more students meet federal and state performance and graduation outcomes. Liaison and consultant for public-facing business areas, and served as one of the primary authors of the Beige Book. In conducting community level research, I reported on market intelligence to the Federal Reserve Bank president while also educating the general public on topics and issues of interest to the Federal Reserve. In this role, I cultivated and built relationships with key constituents (e.g., business and community leaders, educators, policy and thought leaders, financial institutions) to stay abreast of emerging and timely issues related to the local economy.

Sophia Learning is a peer-to-peer social learning platform that delivers standards-aligned content to millions of learners. The Sophia Learning platform provides a free, easy-to-use web tool that provides teachers, tutors, parents and students to teach and learn outside the formal classroom. In my role as VP, Academic Outcomes, I provided the standards-aligned curriculum architecture on which Sophia content is applied. I hired and managed dozens of subject matter experts to develop and review high quality content for the Sophia Learning platform .

Co-researcher on longitudinal district-wide reform study funded by MacArthur Foundation, known as The Learning Partnership. Collaborated with Annenberg Institute for School Reform, Center for Policy Research in Education, and University of Pittsburg. Evaluated reform implementation in a large urban district central office and authored 10 case study schools. Published results in Urban Education journal, presented findings to school board and MacArthur Foundation, as well as other interested stakeholders.
