Working on algorithms for swarm manipulation that seek to enable a group of flying robots to coordinate with one another to provide surveillance over a designated region and track potential targets.


Working on an web application to test if a user has a concussion. Specifically, this app measures a user's coordination, memory, cognition, balance, and reflexes. The data collected from the application is pushed to a database. A researcher or proctor is able to visualize the data by visiting a page on the website. On the grounds of research, I created Camgaze.js, a computer vision library for in-browser eye tracking and gaze prediction written in JavaScript.

The University of Notre Dame is a preeminent research university that offers an outstanding undergraduate and graduate education guided by a Catholic mission. It is located in Notre Dame, Ind., adjacent to the city of South Bend and approximately 90 miles east of Chicago.

Created interfaces to control the iRobot Create. One application was deployed on an Android device that would allow voice control of the robot. Another used the Microsoft Kinect to drive the robot by gathering data on hand position and interpreting it to drive commands. A project was instantiated that would allow a developer to connect a group of Android device into a distributed system where code could be dispatched and results returned.Lastly, a motion planning algorithm was created that is used to plan the movement of a swarm through an environment. Our approach used a mixture of potential fields and probabilistic roadmaps to accomplish this. A paper is going to be published and presented at the Towards Autonomous Robotic Systems conference at the University of Oxford in August 2013
