About us About the Mendoza College of Business: The Mendoza College of Business as the University of Notre Dame was founded in 1921 by the Rev. John Cardinal O'Hara, who charged the College with a mission that endures today: for business to be a force for good in society. Mendoza challenges its students, faculty, staff and alums to Ask More of Business, with a focus on individual integrity, effective organizations and a concern for the greater good. The Mendoza College of Business has been ranked as the No. 1 Undergraduate Business Program by Bloomberg Businessweek for four consecutive years (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013). The College currently enrolls 1,950+ undergraduate students in five majors: accountancy, finance, marketing, management consulting and IT management. After completing the University’s innovative First Year of Studies program, Notre Dame business majors enter the Mendoza College in their sophomore year. The Mendoza College also offers graduate degree programs – a Master of Business Administration, Executive Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Accountancy, Master of Science in Business and Master of Nonprofit Administration – as well as non-degree executive education and nonprofit professional development programs.
